Alice & Graeme, Botanical Gardens Sheffield Wedding

Tue Aug 14th at 11:30 AM
So back at the start of the year (yes, I know I’ve been slow with the blog) Rae dropped me off, early in the morning, just round the corner from Peakography home base in Sheffield, where Alice was getting prepared and into her stunning Kate Beaumont wedding dress.

From here we hopped into a classic VW Camper Van for the short ride to the first of the wedding’s landmark venues, the Botanical Gardens, where Groom, Graeme, and the wedding guests were waiting in the Georgian Glasshouse. Their lovely ceremony (which brought a few of the guests to tears) was followed by canapés produced by PJ Taste
before the Bride, Groom and all the guests jumped aboard the awaiting bright red Route Master bus which took them to reception venue number one; The Milestone in Kelham Island.

Guests had the chance to mill and chat before the wedding breakfast (which I can vouch for as being absolutely delicious) was served. This was swiftly followed by speeches and a song from Graeme’s daughter.

With a beep of the horn the big red bus reappeared for the journey to the night’s last venue; The Shakespeares, where the top room, and a Ceilidh band, were waiting to help the guests dance the night away. The Caller for the Ceilidh band offered points to any guests able to squash this photographer!

Despite there being three separate venues, this was easily the most relaxed wedding I’ve covered and that shines through in the images from the day.
